Know How to Use Colors in Sign Ad for Business
The very first thing to bear in mind when trying to come up with a compelling combination is the level of visibility that you’re looking to create. If you mix and match light colored fonts and graphics with a font or background of a darker shade, you’ll find that you can attract more viewers. You’ll want to make sure that the letters on your banner printing are easily legible and uncluttered. You’ll also want to see to it that all of the graphics and the background of your sign don’t overshadow the main message of your sign.

Whenever people see certain colors, they have a psychological reaction that they might not even be aware of. The colors on your business sign should represent whatever colors represent your company or business theme or industry image. Warmer hues such as yellow, orange and red are more inviting and make viewers feel relaxed as though they’re at home. These are great colors for restaurants and stores because they make people want to spend more time in those environments.
If your intention is to snatch someone’s attention, you’ll want to go with yellow. Just make sure that it’s not too bright or obnoxious. Other vibrant attention colors are neon green and hot pink as well as strong shades of blue and red.

Certain colors seem to convey a certain feeling or mood, and it’s a good idea to learn just what those colors and moods are as you’re designing your banners. Yellow seems to create a sense of joy, blue projects feelings of cool confidence, green represents health, purple makes people think of royalty and wisdom while orange seems to make people think more optimistically and pink is most often associated with femininity, softness and love. If you want viewers to know that your company or business is a refined and professional one without you needing to show a word, then white on black is always a great combination. There’s a reason that the white and black combination has always been a classic; it’s simple and too the point. White and black are also excellent contrasting colors for other shades as well. Other complementary colors you might want to try out are purple with yellow and blue with orange.
