Quick tip: Create Sepia tone in 2 steps

Hi viewers, we are back with one more, quick tip. In this quick tip we are going to see how to create sepia tone effect in photoshop in just 2 steps. Sepia toning is a specialized treatment to give the photograph a warmer tone. Sepia toning was extensively used for sepia toning for postcards produced by the British picture postcards manufacturers.

Preview

Step 1

Open a photograph and if it is coloured then desaturate it and change it into grayscale mode else if it already in grayscale mode then there is no necessary to desaturate it.

Step 2

Now create a new layer and fill it with brown colour and then change blending mode to “Color”. That’s all and you have done it.

    Good tutorial…. but here is the professional way to do it… and it is just One step :D

    Add Adjustment layer > Photo Filter > Sepia with intensity 50%

    Done :)

      you are right. There are many ways to create, but the sepia effect looks different in different images. we applied the other effect on this image.and it was giving something else- what we are not excepting.
      Here our goal is to convert them in black and get the sepia, it will work for B/W images.
